Fat Cow is an opulent japanese inspired steakhouse which serves a handpicked selection of the finest Wagyu from reputable farms around the world. Customers can have their very own customized beef experiences over a variety of Japanese preparation methods – Shabu-Shabu, Sukiyaki, Hobayaki or Sumibiyaki.

While their dinner ala carte menu includes selection of sashimi, different grades of beef, hot and cold appetizers, donburi and other rice and noodle choices. Their food are priced on the higher end with beef cuts starting from $100+ odd. But you paid for what you get. The quality is guaranteed.


Fatcow Premium Donburi ($98) – Sliced wagyu steak on rice, uni, caviar, foie gras with an onsen egg! The greatness of land and sea all gathered in one ceramic bowl. Thinly sliced wagyu that’s a little browned on the outside, give you that little charred mouthfeel against that melt in the mouth wagyu. Sweet umaminess from uni and caviar complements well with both the wagyu and foie gras. Portion was actually reasonable despite the fact that it may not be equivalent to what you paid for. But once again, it’s the quality that matters here and you’ve got a little goodness of everything which each find themselves a spot and complete the dish elegantly. And that’s satisfying enough!


Fat Sour ($16): Suntory Kakubin Whiskey shaken till frothy with fresh lemon juice, mole bitters and Fat Cow’s Suntory Malty Syrup. In fact their cocktail price is really worth it and comparable to any outside cocktail bar. You could taste the whiskey yet the intensity is well balanced with fresh lemon juice. It’s refreshingly intense.


They do have a small variety of desserts to end the night which are all pretty traditional and unique to Japanese taste.


Mizu Shingen Mochi ($12): Housemade water raindrop mochi with green tea and roasted soya bean powder. The mochi texture resembles that of Konnyaku jelly with the QQ texture. The raindrop mochi itself is rather light tasting, but the green tea and roasted soya bean powder gave it the flavor. Flavor from roasted soya bean powder is much more traditional with the 古早味 taste.

Summing up my experience, it’s worth the once in a while indulgence especially for the quality you have given the price you paid for! Highly recommended! 🙂 Deals are made better with entertainer app; 1-1 main course!
