STRAY by FATCAT was yet another brilliant concept by the folks behind FATCAT Ice Cream bar. What really attracts me to the place is none other than its intriguing creative fusion menu. They had done a good job in giving every asian chinese dish a touch of western modernization.
In addition to their creative mains and sides, they have brought along their well-received desserts onto the STRAY’s menu alongside with new dessert and cocktail creations.
Wagyu Shortrib Claypot Rice ($24) + foie gras ($7) – Good replicate of the traditional claypot rice using rice crisp as the 锅巴 taste and a twist of fusion with the ever tender and melty shortribs. It’s a pinch to add on the melty foie gras, but wells! It just completes the meal perfectly with every flavors hitting right on point (;
Commando’s Favourite ($17) – Lychee sorbet with pretty petals, tea jelly and meringue gems falling down the swirl was not only appeasing to the sight but tasted sweet and refreshing to the taste buds too!
Though prices are on the high side, but it’s worth paying that little penny more to satisfy the stomach in this little quaint but ambitious cafe!
