Located along the row of bustling shophouses at East Coast Road directly opposite I12 Katong, was this small with unpretentious storefront, LAAF cafe. Coupled with KopiPass and Entertainer app, we decided to check this cafe out.
Pork Chop ($16.90) – Slab of pork chop grilled to almost perfection, was really juicy and tender. Further paired with the tropical citrusy salad made up of diced mango, cucumber and tomato gave the pork chop an additional refreshing note and made the dish much more appetite simulating!
Prawn Aglio Olio ($14.90) – Find the pasta a little too oily and dry but the prawns were plump and succulent. Probably more fragrance from the olive oil and garlic will do the trick!
Chicken and Avocado Wrap ($16.90). Nature of ingredients in the wrap was wholesome but lacking in the volume. Filled with avocado, crunchy lettuce and chicken breast. Wrap was a little on the floury side too. Much more could be done to make this a better dish!
All in all, a rather small sized cafe with a homely atmosphere. Service wasn’t too bad while there were hits and misses to the food.
