bought a deal voucher on for Claire bistro. They had the $20 for $40 worth of food which is basically 50% off the bill. Didnt know about Claire Loves before i bought the deal. It was located at the Boat Quay area. So on a Friday night, went there for dinner with D and surprisingly the whole outlook of the bistro is welcoming and its a lifestyle concept store but its quite a quiet night consider it being on a Friday. It is actually a 2 storey store, so the 1st storey is the dining area where the seats were comfy and they had a corner selling wines too which you can choose to open a bottle and if i didnt remember wrongly, you can store it there for a month from the date of opening.

& after dinner we went up to their second level. It is their lifestyle store selling things like tea set, accessories, its a very artsy environment. They have comfortable sofas too! Feel like just having some tea, slowing down our pace and watch the world pass by.

anyway back to their food! So we ordered Baked Spicy Lemon Chicken ($16), Finger Licking Good Pork Ribs ($20), “Red Sea” Linguine ($12) and ended off with Warm Chocolate Lava Cake ($10). The food in general are good. The chicken is tender, well marinated with the spices. It’s added with pine nuts too which in my opinions, it add on to the overall mouthfeel giving it the crunchy bite. Their pork ribs are meaty even though its quite hard for me to detach it from the bone. But the meat are not tough and chewy so dont worry about it! The linguine is good. It is toss with tangy tomato basil sauce, kind of different from other tomato-based pastas outside. This tomato basil based pasta, has a a lil sour taste which i find it quite refreshing, and the seafood were fresh and succulent. The lava cake is gooood! with warm chocolate oozing out and the outer cake a lil crisp-like feel! and of course nothing goes wrong when its paired with a scoop of ice cream! the food is simple, the mains with rocket salad and portion may be a lil too small in our opinions. But for the dining ambiance i guess its still worth the trip!
