The New Harbour Cafe & Bar is a pretty good bistro to head to after work or for a meal! Nett prices with no service charges but generous servings! The place is rather dimly lighted with few tables indoors and mainly outdoors. Another old school kind of decorations. Food combinations are pretty unique and different from the usuals too.
So here’s what we’ve ordered, we wanted white clam cooked in beer stock but there’s no more white clam, so its replaced with mussels ($18.50), Crackling Roast Pork ($17.80), Mixed Sausages ($18.80), Grilled dory fish fillet ($14.80) and 1 pint of their cider. The mussels in beer stock is yummy! Usually you see it in white wine right, but surprising this with beer is a good combination too. Its not the bitter beer you taste, but rather sweet and aromatic with that tinge of alcoholic taste. And their MUST TRY crackling roast pork, its similar to the one i had at pasar bella back then! Super crispy skin and solid meat with not much layer of fats. its tasty without the gravy too! It’s served with apple sauce too, seems like its the in-thing now to serve roast pork with it. but who cares as long as it tastes good! As you can see from the pictures itself, the sausages and dory fish are of generous servings! but their taste are more common too. the grilled dory is the usual tender. but remember to try their crackling roast pork if you are there!
